Network + Certification
Training I Course Description and Prerequisites: Network + has been accepted by leading networking vendors, and included in many of their training curricula including: This program is designed to prepare students for the Network + Certification Exams. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to identify the layers of the OSI model, describe the features and function of network components, and have the skills needed to install, configure, and troubleshoot basic networking hardware peripherals and protocols. Students must have knowledge of PC Hardware and software, knowledge of operating systems, and knowledge of file and directory concepts for acceptance into the Network + class. Module Overviews: Module 1: Media and Topologies Students will learn how to recognize and differentiate between the various cabling technologies, LAN topologies and the equipment required for those different media. Module 2: Protocols and Standards
