This intensive 4-week program will introduce American methods of teaching English as a foreign language and will offer practical models for the following: selecting methods, selecting and developing materials, and writing a syllabus. The program will focus on strategies that integrate the four tasks of literacy and fluency: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Throughout the course, the instructor will present activities used successfully in their own ESL classes.

Current teachers of English as a foreign language. Please note: this program does not include TESL certification.

$3150 - Price includes all tuition, fees and room and board at the IIT dorms with 14 meals per week. Transportation to and from the airport will be provided for groups that arrive together. Participants will also attend cultural activities arranged by IIT.
