Manufacturing Processes for Electronic and Electrical Systems
Certificate Program Course Abstract: The materials used in Electronic and Electrical (E&E) manufacturing are reviewed, including materials and components used to produce chips, PCBs and wiring systems. The course focus is on processes for producing the range of parts and products included in electronic and electrical systems. Automation for producing parts and assemblies will be covered. Techniques covered include: surface mounted technology (SMT), wave soldering, automation insertion, and automated inspection. Also covered is the industrial structure of electronic and electrical systems manufacturing.
