Computer Animation
Certificate Program Course Description: Computer Animation will give students the skills needed to create animated sequences complete with sound, titles and special effects. The course introduces theory and application of 2D computer animation and includes techniques and common software used for 2D animation. Topics include keyframing, tweening, object oriented animation, frame-by frame animations, animations along a path, timing, scene composition, lighting, color and shading, sound, special effects, using layers, and optimizing, publishing and exporting Flash movies. Animation in this course is done using Macromedia Flash, and does not require any advanced programming skills. Therefore, this course is suitable for students who lack a computer science or programming background and who desire an introduction to the world of computer animation.
