IT 495 Python Scripting 
Certificate Program


Course Description and Prerequisites:

The course covers Python language scripting and various related open-source Python frameworks. The student considers design and development topics such as system programming, graphical user interfaces and internet programming. Numerous hands-on exercises reinforce the rapid prototyping capability of the language and its tools. A final project integrates course topics into a comprehensive open-source application.

Prerequisites:
Participant should have coursework and/or experience in fundamental structured and/or object-oriented programming

Who Should Attend System administrators, network administrators, and application developers.

Expected Outcomes: The successful participant will have the foundational knowledge needed to create a variety of Python files, whether they be short scripts, full programs, or graphical user interfaces.

Network and Client Scripting; Twisted: Web Clients and Servers; Twisted: Web Services and RPC; Twisted: Mail/NNTP Clients and Servers; Advanced Internet Topics
